Faced with the inability of two bickering attorneys to resolve even the most innocuous scheduling questions without his intervention, a Florida federal judge yesterday ordered the two to meet on the steps of the federal courthouse and resolve their latest quarrel by playing “one (1) game of ‘rock, paper, scissors.’”
It seems that the lawyers couldn’t agree on where to hold a deposition even though the lawyer’s offices were just four floors apart in the same building.
Personally, I think a duel to the death would have been a better long term solution, especially if it was a tie.
It’s only one (1) game, what’s YOUR plan? I’m going with rock.
Did you know that they have a Rock, Paper, Scissor competition. I watched it the other day. They have up to 500 duels and whoever wins the most wins the competition. There are rules and techniques to the game. Yes, I did say game! It was very boring.
As you’ll notice, the judge also used the word “game.”
The issue of game vs sport is one that will never be resolved.
Common Sense would say that it is all semantics anyway and a useless argument.
