It must have hurt Obama to say it and for the Kos kids to hear it but that was really well written and said.

Congrats to the US for leaving Iraq in much better shape as a civilization than you found it. I pray that you would do the same in Afghanistan. Oh and if you could do something about the crazy in Iran that would help too.

In addition, officials said, al Soofi was found to be carrying $7,000 in cash and a check of his luggage found a cell phone taped to a Pepto-Bismol bottle, three cell phones taped together, several watches taped together, a box cutter and three large knives. Officials said there was no indication of explosives and he and his luggage were cleared for the flight from Birmingham to Chicago O’Hare.

Jeepers, I have to take off my shoes and undo my belt but these crazies can bring a knife thrower’s luggage into the airport and not miss a flight.

Illinois is borrowing money it will have to repay eventually to repay the pension money it already spent to pay for other spending it couldn’t afford then and can’t afford now.

Transparency never has been a reality from the current POTUS. You would have noticed this before the last Presidential election  if you had bothered to ask any questions rather than acting as part of Obama’s campaign team.

Oh, and for those of you on the left that think the Coast Guard is just working with BP on this, you may want to take the blinders off before you end up just being another useful idiot in November.

To their amazement, they were rebuffed and told to go home with their equipment. The Exxon Valdez became the biggest oil spill disaster in U.S. history–until the BP Gulf spill.

The Jones Act and the unions. Intended consequences. There is the ability to waive the act but that would go against the real goal of cap and trade legislation that the Dems (and BP) are trying to get in place.

Union Dues at Work

Earlier, after speeches from union leaders at Queen’s Park, thousands of demonstrators poured into the city’s downtown in the rolling protest. Led by a contingent of women and unions, they shouted “Maternal health care includes abortion.”

Then…

Busloads of union members arrived all morning to join the protests. Most of the assembled crowd were union members, with banners and union logos everywhere.

I love the fact that my wife loses money on every cheque to go to important things like burning police cars. It is important things like breaking windows of the local Starbucks that need to be done for the working person. Right? Right?

What a joke.

The legislation announced Thursday says that companies such as broadband providers, search engines, or software firms that the government selects “shall immediately comply with any emergency measure or action developed” by the Department of Homeland Security. Anyone failing to comply would be fined.

Thank you Sen. Lieberman for making sure that the one thing developed with redundancy to protect from attack can be shutdown by a government that might want to limit freedom. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Right Rosie?

Stay Away from the Toronto Core

I personally recommend this for everyone, regardless of nationality, and just ignore the timeframe as well. I’ve driven in downtown Toronto and I would never recommend that. In fact, if you stay out of the downtown core, you won’t ever accidentally watch the Maple Leafs live, surrounded by their fans.

Obama has seen the light?

“We don’t have enough public dollars to fill the hole of private dollars that was created as a consequence of the crisis. It is only when the private sector starts to reinvest again; only when our businesses start hiring again and people start spending again and families start seeing improvement in their own lives again, that we’re going to have the kind of economy that we want,” Obama said.

Personally, I think he’s just trying to find out who the smart people are with the good ideas so he can buy them off and make them czars.

Coinciding with the jobs forum, organized labor and religious leaders in several cities sponsored events featuring unemployed and underemployed people to raise the public profile of the issue.

Those wouldn’t be the people that voted for Obama would it?
